Woman with the Longest Name: Reagan Leslie

This year, Hawaii has been a busy state, not with financial or social problems, but with changing the format of the ID because her long name just won't fit in it. Janice Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele,(original name Worth)the name that she has from her late husband, she has already said she doesn't even think about changing it. "I love the Polynesian culture I married into, I love my Hawaiian name. It is an honor and has been quite a journey to carry the names I carry," Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele told AFP.Many years, she has had two types of idenification with her: driver's license (room for 34 characters) and her offical Hawaiian State ID (room for 35 characters). After she got her license renewed in May, it came back with one last letter missing off her last name and she had no first name. Later that year, "the new character limits changed to 40 characters first and last name, 35 for the middle and 5 for the suffix." she said.
I appreciate her standing up for her own rights, but what for? I know this is a free country, but rules are rules. Personally if I was her I would do what the police and the rest of the government told me to do because I don't want to be known for the person with the very long last name fighting for her rights to keep her name.
